Is my project eligible for funding?

For your project to be eligible for funding it must fulfil a number of basic criteria. Your project must:

Who can participate?

Only organisations established in one of the 27 EU Member States, Croatia, Norway, Iceland, FYR of Macedonia and Liechtenstein are currently eligible to participate.

What are the current calls for proposals?

Applications for funding must be made in response to a Call for Proposals. These are published in the Official Journal of the European Communities and on the Commission website for Intelligent Energy Europe. Information on the Calls can be located by clicking here.

How do I apply?

Once you have located the area of the work programme that your project falls under, you are ready to begin the process of preparing and submitting your proposal. See the Writing the Proposal section for some top tips on writing a proposal.

To submit your proposal you need to complete the application forms. These are available at the Call Library area of the Intelligent Energy Europe website when the calls for proposals are open. Further details on how to apply can be found in the relevant Call text.

Pre-preparation and submission assistance

Before you submit your proposal the EU Energy Focus team offers a proposal review service. We will independently evaluate how well your proposal addresses the objectives of the Commission Work Programme and provide recommendations on how best to improve it. Please contact the team for more details.
